Faith Into Action
While we will certainly pray for you if you want us to (obviously for free), that’s not what this particular message is about. This is about turning our faith into action. If we are going to Awaken Tampa Bay by bringing the kingdom of God to the earth, then we must do something about it. We like to call this going out on “Faith Missions”.
Faith Missions
A Faith Mission is intended to release the kingdom of God onto the earth as it is in Heaven. We know that when we pray for God’s kingdom to be released into our communities, it will be done (Luke 11:2). Through this we believe that the Tampa Bay area will begin to experience changes that will be readily seen in the natural, as well directly impacted in the supernatural.
Recently, a few people including a member of our team went to Clearwater Beach and set up a “Free Prayer” booth for about three hours. The intent was to release the kingdom of God to Clearwater on a Saturday morning. Two signs were created that we took this picture of above, and they were set up right at the beginning of the Clearwater Beach pier. The team didn’t really know what to expect, but knew that God had called them to do this.
Within that three hour period, about 15 – 20 people came and asked for prayer. They laid hands on everyone who wanted prayer. Some asked for healing for themselves or family members, others asked for their entire family to be prayed for to receive blessings, an alcoholic asked for deliverance from his addiction, and the list goes on. What may have been most surprising is how welcoming so many people were to what the team was doing. While the media continues to impress upon Christians that our beliefs are not welcome in the public at large, Faith Missions continue to prove otherwise. By the end of the day at Clearwater Beach, the team was standing on the sea wall preaching the gospel of Jesus to everyone who walked by. The support was so encouraging from so many people who said they appreciated what the team was doing.
Fear of Man
Does the idea of setting up a Free Prayer booth and preaching from the sea wall on Clearwater Beach make your heart race and stomach turn, thinking you could never do that? That’s the fear of man blocking you from the commission that Christ gave all of us to take the gospel to the nations. These Faith Missions are designed to help us overcome the fear of man, while at the same time releasing the kingdom to our communities. One thing that we can assure you of is that once the mission is completed, you won’t feel the same about doing it again. It gets easier and easier, and that’s the point.
We need to be conditioned to the point of not having a fear of walking up to someone God has provided us a prophetic word for and giving it to them, or approaching someone with a broken arm and asking to pray for their healing, or just telling someone that Jesus loves them and blessing their day. This is how we are to be acting on a regular basis, and it’s time to get going.

While some get nervous considering going on a Faith Mission, others get excited right off the start. No matter what your first impression of these missions, we can assure you that they will change the way that you think about our responsibilities as Christians in our community.
Even more importantly, we want Faith Missions to be a regular part of this ministry - well organized, effective and diverse. To do so, we need people with a passion for certain areas of our community who will take the initiative with us to design an upcoming mission and help us organize the execution of it. Whether it is a free prayer booth on the beach, or warfare prayer walking in Ybor City, or a day out blessing the homeless, or going on a healing mission to a local hospital, we just need to get going. The passion inside of you was put there by God, and it is time to act upon it. Come join us on our next Faith Mission.
