Position:
As the Pastoral Counselor for New Beginnings Fellowship I have the honor and privilege to minister to the congregation primarily in the areas of healing and deliverance.
Born:
I was born in Tampa Florida. My father was born in St. Petersburg in 1921. My parents lived in St. Petersburg but my mother wanted to have her doctor in Tampa deliver me. My father like a good Boy Scout believed in being prepared so he readied himself in case I was born on the Gandy Bridge. Mom made it across in plenty of time and I was born at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Family Facts:
I have four brothers and two sisters that all live within an hour and a half from us. I am married to my High School sweetheart Douglas Manson and God has blessed us with two incredible boys, Joseph (19) and James (14).
Education:
I attended Pinellas Park High School and Florida State University. I was licensed and worked as a Real Estate Agent in Atlanta Georgia and Florida. I was also licensed a Property and Casualty Insurance agent as part of my job working with Title Agencies and Real Estate Brokers. I was certified in ministry training through Ellel Ministries and served on the ministry team with Breakthrough City Church. Warfare Plus Ministries certified and ordained me into their ministry after completing their training in School of Deliverance and Advance School of Deliverance.
Vision for Warfare Plus Ministries:
The vision I see for our ministry is that it would be known worldwide as a place that welcomes and ministers to people as a spiritual hospital, rehabilitation center and educational institution. People will come not only to be saved, healed, and delivered but also to be restored, taught and equipped to bring the hope and healing available through our Lord Jesus to a lost, broken and hurting world.
Passions:
My passion is to connect people with Jesus. I want to us help those that have lost their way or those that are sick, injured, abused, rejected, poor, persecuted, tormented, angry or afraid to the foot of the cross. I desire to raise the flag of hope in the midst of their circumstances with my brothers and sisters in Christ. I hope to experience more of the body of Christ learning how to be set free to live the life that Jesus paid the price for us to have, a life filled with the fruit of the Spirit love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. I hope to see believers recognize that these are our birth right as children of God and not to let the enemy that comes to steal kill and destroy rob them of their inheritance. I would like to witness more Christians learn about the authority that they have to take back their blessing and move forward in a spiritually victorious life.
My greatest joy is to see people restored to a strong relationship with our Lord Jesus the savior, the healer, the wonderful counselor and the deliverer.
Favorite Scripture:
My favorite story from scripture is The Prodigal Son. The father does not wait until the repentant son gets all the way home to meet him; he meets him on the way. This is such a picture of the heart of our Father God, He does not wait until we get all the way back to the place spiritually where we should be, but He meets us still covered with the dirt of all the mess we have made of our lives and He greets us with love, protection and blessing as He walks with us the rest of the way back to where we belong.
Other Points of Interest:
When I was young I was an adventurer. I grew up on a small farm in Clearwater, Florida where I roamed the woods, climbed trees, caught fish, rode horses and arm wrestled my brother’s friends. Girl Scouting was a wonderful experience where I learned leadership skills, Life Saving and First Aid. This was great training for later in my life when I became the mother of two boys. My mother was relieved when I went to college and became a synchronized swimmer. She thought that it was a much more lady like endeavor. Then I moved to Atlanta where I took up mountain climbing, repelling, and spelunking (caving). I thought that was adventurous until I had our boys, it’s like the Marines, the toughest job I ever loved. Now I am experiencing the greatest adventure of all, The Life with God Adventure, it is definitely the best, most fulfilling and adventurous time of my life.
I think that the thing that would surprise most people that have known me since I have become a Christ follower is that I used to be what people would call a “user”. If you did not have something that I was interested in like money, power or talent, I would probably have no interest in you. When I had my conversion experience I totally submitted my life to God and in that moment I was suddenly embraced and filled with such a feeling of love, joy and peace and with a supernatural faith. I was made a new creature from the inside out. I was quite shocked to find that I cared about people and now I live to serve my Lord and Savior by ministering to others.
